Calamansi-Soy Tilapia with Salsa


What you need:
– 4 Tilapia fillets
– 1/2 red onion, chopped
– 1 red tomato, chopped
– 1/2 cup all purpose flour
– salt and pepper


For the marinade:
– 5 pcs of calamansi
– 1/3 cup of light soy sauce
– 2 tsp of brown sugar

Squeeze out the calamansi juice into a bowl. Add the soy sauce and brown sugar and mix. Place the tilapia fillets in a shallow dish and pour the marinade. Marinate for at least 30 minutes.


Add some salt and pepper to the flour and begin coating the tilapia fillets.


With some light olive oil, pan fry the fillets skin up until golden brown. Turn and fry the other side. Transfer to a plate. Saute the red onion and tomato for a minute and serve with the tilapia fillets.
