Almond Crusted Halibut

What you need:
– Halibut fish fillet
– sliced almonds
– lemon slices
– salt and pepper
– all purpose flour
– egg whites
– freshly chopped coriander

I bought my Halibut fish fillet from S&R . They are frozen and neatly packaged.

I always portion them before putting back to the freezer at home so that when it’s time to cook, I don’t need to defrost all the pieces. I just defrost what i need. In this case, there were two large fillets of halibut, I divided each fillet into two, so I got four pieces of Halibut fillet. For this meal, I only used one piece.

Season both sides of the fillet with salt and pepper. Squeeze the juice of lemon onto the fish fillet. Set aside and marinade for 30 minutes.

Prepare the egg whites and all purpose flour. Cover the fish fillet with all purpose flour then dip into the egg whites. Transfer the fish fillet to a plate then spread the sliced almonds on top.

Set the temperature of the air fryer to 185 degrees Celsius. When it has reached the temperature, line the basket of the air fryer with aluminum foil then poke it with holes. Place the fish fillet on the foil and put the basket back into the air fryer. Cook for around 10 minutes or so.

Sprinkle some freshly chopped coriander on top and serve with lemon slices.
